In today’s lesson,<\/g> we will begin to cover the basics of building websites. The first most important building block of a website is the HTML language, which allows us to give the browser instructions to render our website.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Exercise 1: Add some boxes (div tags)<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

In the below code editor add some div tags, and see your resulting boxes!<\/p>\n\n\n

Exercise 2: Add an image<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Now let’s utilize the self closing tag for adding an image.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Add the img<\/strong>\u00a0tag and then add the\u00a0src\u00a0<\/strong>attribute with the value “http:\/\/x.co\/myimg”<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n

Exercise 3: My webpage<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Let’s build a simple website by simply adding a number of div tags with the appropriate class names.<\/p>\n\n\n
